Jian Hennings + Rhian Vialva head to producer’s workshop in the DR

Big congratulations are in order for FILMCO members, TT producers Jian Hennings and Rhian Vialva who will be participating in an intensive producers workshop in the Dominican Republic during the Festival de Cine Global de Santo Domingo. They will join 18 other Caribbean producers at DEENTAL in the Caribbean.
Deental in the Caribbean is a five-day workshop on production & financing launched by the CNC with the financial collaboration of the European Union and the support of the ACP (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific) States. It is organised in collaboration with the Dirección General de Cine (DG CINE) of Dominican Republic. The workshop consists of working sessions with four speakers – two Dominican and two French. Topics will include how to put together a financing plan, best practices, advantages and disadvantages of co-production, standard documents required for applications to international funding, etc.
Both filmmakers will be attending with their films in development: Jian with ‘Father LSD’, and Rhian with ‘The Roaring 70s’. We wish them plenty learning and every success!
