Accessing Government Support Schemes Related to COVID-19

On Tuesday May 12th at 5:30PM, FILMCO will host another Info Session, which will feature a presentation by the Trinidad and Tobago Film Company (FilmTT) on accessing government support schemes related to Covid-19 from the Trinidad and Tobago Film Company Limited (FilmTT).

For our Info Sessions, FILMCO invites partners in various aspects of creative enterprise and administration, to share information on their projects and portfolios and how they can positively impact film and television industry practitioners.

The Trinidad and Tobago Film Company Limited (FilmTT) is the state agency established in 2006 to facilitate the growth and development of the film and audio-visual sector in Trinidad & Tobago. As a subsidiary of the Trinidad and Tobago Creative Industries Company Limited, FilmTT works on all aspects of film sector development, promotes Trinidad & Tobago as a film production location, and provides Film Commission services to local and incoming productions. FilmTT’s mission is to maximise the economic and creative potential of Trinidad and Tobago’s screen industries for the benefit of the country and its people.

Meet The Facilitators

FilmTT Chairman Dionne Mc Nicol Stephenson

Dionne Mc Nicol Stephenson has over 20 years experience in the creative industries and 14 years of experience in the area of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law. Her work has spanned music, theatre, film, live performance, and live events – in the form of performance, administration, production, legal services, and policy development. Her career path has had many twists and turns, most recently leading her to national service on the Board of Directors of Trinidad & Tobago Creative Industries Company Limited (CreativeTT) and as Chairman of The Trinidad and Tobago Film Company Limited (FilmTT). She is a creative industries consultant and the chief connector at A BigBox of Crayons – a collective showcase of and for Trinbago’s creative makers and thinkers. Her mission is to demystify the creative industries for teams ready for trade.

FilmTT Facilitation Officer Regina Seabrun

Regina Seabrun is a creative art professional with over six years of experience in stage and production management. She has gained a solid background in communication studies and theatre from UWI’s Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA). As FilmTT’s current facilitation officer, she has managed the administration of the Production Expenditure Rebate Programme, the company’s film commission work and oversees the facilitation of a diverse range of productions that have shot on location in Trinidad and Tobago in recent years.
