Websites have become an essential tool in a film’s promotional kit. Websites bring visibility and validity to a project – they allow users to meet your cast/ protagonists and crew, to learn about your project’s story, to share press reviews, screening details, funder information and so much more. But websites can cost a fortune to produce.

In this two-part Weeknight Workshop, award-winning filmmaker and television producer, Mariel Brown and web developer Shaun Rambaran will give a wide-ranging lesson in both preparing and running your own website using WordPress.

While designed as a blogging platform, WordPress has organically evolved into a fully capable Content Management System (CMS). Backed with the power of the Open Source community pushing its ongoing development, the software has grown (and continues to grow) ever faster and more user-friendly for persons at all levels of technical experience.

On the 11th and 12th of June, join Mariel and Shaun as they discuss the multiple elements that go into successfully building a website using the wordpress platform, for your film or TV show. Join us, live from the comfort of your own home, using the Zoom conferencing platform.
