Award-winning photographer, Abigail Hadeed, has documented the region extensively over the course of several decades. Hadeed’s production experience dates back to the mid 90’s when she worked with Caribbean Crews on various big-budget commercials – from production management and locations, to art department, grip work, camera assisting, and shooting production stills. Abigail co-produced the short “4am” that featured at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2011. In 2012, she produced the feature documentary “La Gaita” which won the Peoples Choice Award at the trinidad+tobago film festival. That year, her short “Between the Lines” was also featured in the new media program at ttff. In 2013, she produced three short films about the Jab, all shown at Popop Studios in Nassau, Bahamas. She most recently produced a feature film called “Play the Devil,” written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Maria Govan in Trinidad. Hadeed’s goal is to continue producing her own content in the way of feature-length documentaries and narrative films- films that will ignite dialogue and bring awareness to important social issues.
